You think it’s hard when you get into a fight with your friends. You think it’s hard when you do something stupid and you get grounded. When you have relationship issues and it feels like the end of the world. When you just got paid and oh damn, you spent all of your money on fast food and clothes now you can’t go to the movies. When you fall and break a bone. When you don’t do so well on a test. When you drop your cell phone and it breaks but your parents just buy you a new one. You think life’s hard even though you’re so young.
But try growing up. Try doing it all alone. Try having no family and having no one to help fix all of those tough issues in life. Try fending for yourself and cooking yourself dinner every night. Try cleaning your own house and paying your own bills. Try losing everyone you had and just become your own person.
That’s exhausting.
That’s emotional.
That’s unfavorable.
That’s not easy.
That’s hard.
